Leather Repair Gateshead Leather Repair Tyne & Wear

Services Offered

We offer a full leather cleaning, repair & restoration service covering Gateshead, Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and all other surrounding areas in Tyne & Wear, and County Durham.

We specialise in all aspects of leather: furniture, car interiors, handbags, clothes, shoes and all other leather types.

Re-Upholstery Services

  • Panel Replacements: Replacing a panel with brand new leather when the damage is beyond cosmetic repair. We use specialist colour matching machinery to guarantee an exact colour match.

We have searched for a long time and now have access to a batch of original connolly leather - ideal for classic car interiors. We also have a very good supply of premium quality hides, which we use for furniture and modern car interiors.

  • Re-padding & Filling: We create customised foam and padding to match the shape and size of cushions, arm rests & car seats.
  • Spring Replacement & Webbing: For added firmness, comfort and support.
  • Stitching: We can re-stitch leather either in your home/car - some larger jobs may need to be brought back to our workshop.

In The Workshop

Spraying a two tone patternAdam spraying a two tone effect onto a leather arm chair.

The top coat of colour has worn off with use, which is being re-applied by airbrush. We match the colour exactly and spray it on in a way, which replicates the original two tone or mottled pattern.

Sewing LeatherGary sewing two panels of leather together to be re-upholstered. This job was to replace the arms of an Ekorness Stressless leather chair.

We first remove the old leather and use it as a template to cut the panels. We then match the original colour exactly using a spectrophotometer, and spray to match. The leather is then sewn and re-upholstered.

In the sprayboothCraig in the spray booth, sanding the leather, not spraying!

Before we apply colour to leather we gently sand the surface down to create a lovely and smooth texture.

This makes the end result so much better, as it removes any roughness on the leather.

Bolster Repair on Porsche

BEFORE
AFTER

Worn bolster on a black leather car seat restored to a new condition.

Vauxhall Calibra

BEFORE
AFTER

This is a photograph of the drivers back bolster from a Vauxhall Calibra.

We simply prepped and alcohol the effected area, used a palm sander to take any roughness away, applied about 10 thin layers of Leather Binder re coloured and lacquered.

The customer couldn’t believe how good it came out when he collected the car.

BMW 320ci Colour loss

BEFORE
AFTER

This BMW 320ci came in with the usual wear to the drivers bolster. We firstly matched the colour. Repaired the damage using the Leather Binder and the Leather Flexi Fill, sanding smooth before applying the colour and finish.

Panel replacement on Bi-cast corner unit.

BEFORE
AFTER

This was just a small tear at first but over time developed into a large rip. We decided to replace the panel as the damage was so bad. We took out the seat box first, then the staples which fixed the leather into place, unpicked the stitching to get the damaged piece out, and replaced it with a new piece of leather - colour and grain matched to the existing suite.

Chloe Handbag

BEFORE
AFTER

We changed the colour of this Chloe handbag from Cream to Brown, the results were amazing!
