Stresless Arm Chair

Above shows the before and after snaps of a 20yr old Stressless Chair I recently restored. The customer was about to throw this lovely piece of furniture away before she found out about us.

The leather was very badly cracked and dry but we managed to bring it back to life using our leather repair and colouring products.

The customer couldn’t believe it when I took it back to her.

Head Grease Contamination

This leather has been contaminated through natural oils on the skin.

This is an antique type leather which consists of 2 colours, a bright base colour usually followed by a black or a darker version of the base over the top to achieve the two tone effect.

The oils from this persons head had caused the top colour to wear causing the base to show through. It wasn’t a case of just re applying the top colour, I firstly needed to decontaminate the area using extraction machines and our leather degreaser, only once the oils are fully removed can you apply the new colour.

Arm Repair, Purfume Spill

Above shows the before and after Photographs of a perfume spill on the arm of the leather suite.

The alcohol in the perfume stripped the existing colourant off causing the base colour to show through. The customer called us out to restore the arm to its former glory.

I mixed a new colour and gently airbrushed it over the damaged area.

You couldn’t even tell the leather had been repaired once I was finished.

Part of 3 pc suite

This suite was booked for just cleaning. The customer didn't realise that the damage caused by paint splashes could be rectified.

After cleaning the suite, we re-coloured the damaged areas.
