Leather Ultra Clean

Frequently Asked Questions

Is leather ultra clean safe to use on leather?

Yes, it is specially made for use on leather and so will not cause any damage. It can also be used on natural and delicate leathers such as aniline (sauvage), semi-aniline and waxed/oiled pull up.

Can leather ultra clean be used on cream leather?

Yes, it can be used on any colour of leather. It is excellent on light colours that show dirt easily. Use a soft Tampico brush or sponge to clean deep into the leather grain.

Will leather ultra clean remove colour from my leather?

No - it contains no solvents or abrasives and so, is perfectly safe to use.

My leather is aniline, is it safe to use?

Yes. Leather ultra clean can be used on natural leathers such as aniline and pull ups. Here is a full list of leather types it can be used on;

  • Pigmented (also known as top coated or corrected grain)
  • Full Aniline (sauvage) & Semi - Aniline
  • BiCast
  • Pull Up
  • Oily or Waxy Pull Up
Rub Off, Antique Finish, Mottled & two tone finishes

I also have leather in my car, can it be used on that?

Yes, leather ultra clean can be used on all articles of leather: Furniture, car interior, clothes, shoes, equine leather and many more.

My door cards are vinyl, can it be used on them?

Yes. It can be used on any imitation leather such as vinyl, plastic and PU.

I do not like the idea of using a liquid on my leather, is it safe?

Very safe. In fact it’s the best way to clean leather. The majority of leather is water resistant (90%+) and so it will not damage it. If your leather is unfinished and therefore absorbent it is also fine to use. You will just need to allow the leather to dry for about 30 minutes after cleaning.

Extra: You can also create a foam with the ultra clean to prevent over wetting the leather. This makes for ideal cleaning conditions as a foam is a more effective way of cleaning. To create a foam agitate the product in a sponge or use a special foaming bottle.

Will leather ultra clean remove ink or other stains from my leather?

There’s a good chance it will, but this depends upon what type of leather it is, the length of the stain, the type of the stain etc.......For a guaranteed product use one of our Leather Stain Removal Products.
